It's cost-effective.
Medium format and 35mm film cameras are much cheaper than some digital DSLRs. A medium format camera can also provide sharper and more realistic images than many DSLRs. One roll of medium format film can cost around $8 to $20

It's a learning experience.
Nowadays, DSLRs do everything for you. They have an automatic mode that doesn’t let you think about learning all the technicalities of using the camera. Yes, they do have manual modes but most people would use it on autofocus and auto settings. Film cameras usually being fully manual, it forces us to have full control over the photographs. Therefore a good knowledge of lighting and camera setting are required to shoot film. Guide numbers and sunny 16 are important skills that a good photographer needs to know and master. Knowing how to properly expose and manually focus are skills that can then be transferred to DSLR to use to its full capacity.

You don’t have to do post-processing
The best thing about film is that you don’t have to apply any preset on the images. They look great straight out of the camera. You don’t have to buy some film replicas preset look that usually don't do a great job.

It’s cool and fun
Shooting film is a blast. You don’t know what the final image will look like if it’s gonna be a blank roll or some unexpected light leaks. Furthermore, you look cool with a vintage camera.
